Walker EvansKeymasterThe initial, ballpark figures for the first day of the fire was over 4.5 million gallons of water and 3 miles of hose used.
After the 4th alarm was dispatched, there were 48 fire companies and nearly 200 firefighters from Columbus, Hamilton Township and Franklin Township. Before the shift change at 8 am, nearly every firefighter on duty in Columbus had been on Marion Rd.
There were 598 other emergency runs throughout the day, including at least 2 other fires, several auto accidents and a few shootings.
Wow! That’s all really impressive. Nice work to all involved in the efforts! ;)
