Rock on the Range just announced day 2 day lineups. Ticket prices increase on March 31. That’s also the last day to enter What the Rock?!‘s contest to win a pair of weekend stadium GA tickets. You can enter in-store AND online at http://www.whattherock.com/rockontherangecontest.html

I wish Suicidal would do a show on Friday night somewhere else in the city.

I agree that Slayer is the better band, but A7X has a much broader fan base. And they put on a real good show. I like Suicidal, but I saw their show last Sept and it honestly wasn’t that great. They’d be lucky to play the main stage that night. In a small club though? Yeah, I’d want to see that show! Check Cincy, Cleveland or Pittsburgh before or after their Columbus date. They may have picked up a show close by.

True, But I wish their leg kicking arm-swinging bastards for fans would take that dancing crap somewhere else. Maybe that is at the core of my dislike.

Motorhead canceled. NOOOOOO!!! They added Living Color and Lacuna coil. I hope there is a better band to be named later in this trade.

Battle For Rock On The Range 2014 – Day 1
    May 15, 2014 10:35 am – Mike Ritchie

On Saturday May 3rd and Friday May 9th The Alrosa Villa and Fox28 hosted the 2014 Battle for Rock on the Range. Over two nights bands from different genre’s, scenes and parts of Ohio played the stage, trying to win over the crowd garnering support and votes to open the Jägermeister stage Saturday afternoon at Crew Stadium. Zombie Tapdance Productions was on hand both nights filming the battles. Of the participants 2013 alumni Cross Solder and Infidel returned to try again. Other competitors for the night included Life Within Us, Viper, Mayhem Like Me, Resistance 13, Ultimatum, Echoes of Empathy and Foxtrot. This year the rules changed as the winner would be determined solely by fan voting and the band with the most over both nights would win. To keep from over-voting, fans could only vote for their favorite on the day they performed. A wide array of talent and styles played including rock, 80’s, glam/hair metal, blues, thrash and even a few covers.
