    Top Lobbyist Owes Several Years Back Taxes

    IRS records show Raphael did not pay federal income tax for 7 years starting in 2004, totaling more than $224,000. That’s not all. Raphael owed $40,423 in income taxes to the Ohio Department of Taxation. Raphael owed the city of Columbus $31,352.

    Raphael is the guy whose plea bargain the mayor-elect cites to prove he is exonerated in Redflexgate. And Columbus voters buy it. Sad.


    Dispatch reporting today that another former Columbus City Council member, Kevin Boyce, is accused by the SEC of participating in a pay-to-play operation while later serving as state treasurer.


    Lively Friday night, eh?


    At my age, being alive is “lively”.


    Good story on Reflex and other City Hall corruption in today’s Dispatch. So far, Ginther has been very lucky but that may not last.



    No thanks to our wonderful new primary system that guarantees that only two candidates are on the mayoral ballot.
