Published: Thursday, February 9, 2012Red Robin is taking its gourmet burgers to High Street in late March, but the location will not house a traditional Red Robin experience. Red Robin’s Burger Works, at 1706 North High St., will feature a fast, casual concept behind the beef. Cassie LaBonte, associate marketing manager for Red Robin, said Red Robin’s Burger Works was designed as a smaller and faster alternative to the original Red Robin. There are currently four Red Robin locations in the Columbus, Ohio, area.

(Red Robin) announced the grand opening of its second Red Robin’s Burger Works(TM) restaurant, located in the University District at The Ohio State University. The new restaurant will open on Monday, March 26, at 11 a.m. to serve its first fire-grilled burgers to the local community. The restaurant is located at 1708 North High St. across from the Ohio Union and will be open from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday through Thursday, with special, late hours until 2 a.m. on Friday and Saturday.

Date: Tuesday, March 20, 2012, 1:18pm EDTThe Greenwood Village, Colo.-based chain expects to open Red Robin’s Burger Works across from the Ohio Union at 1708 N. High St. on Monday. It’ll be just the second Burger Works for the more than 450-restaurant chain. The first opened last year in Denver, with a third site in a Denver mall set to open this spring.

Tuesday April 3, 2012 5:41 AMColumbus is again playing the role of test market. Denver-based Red Robin Gourmet Burgers is trying its newest restaurant prototype in central Ohio. Red Robin’s Burger Works opened on March 26 at 1708 N. High St. in the University District. “Columbus is already a pretty strong market for us, and people already recognize our brand,” said company spokesman Kevin Caulfield. Red Robin has four restaurants in central Ohio and 16 statewide.

myliftkkParticipantI got comped meals here for their soft opening and I found it to be pretty good, even given the campus heavy crowd.
My one quibble is with the use of the automat soda dispenser (and this is more of a general complaint). I think it’s the poster child for the paradox of choice.

heresthecaseyParticipantRed Robin on High St closed last week. According to some signage working its way through UARB approval, the replacement is Blaze Pizza – a fast casual build-your-own pizza chain.
