Sbarro’s upscale brand going ‘grittier and younger,’ relaunching as Cucinova Urban Italian

Sbarro LLC’s namesake brand isn’t its only venture in the midst of change. The Columbus-based pizza chain launched its Pizza Cucinova brand with two restaurants here last year. But don’t get too attached to that name and look. When the company added its third unit in Cincinnati last month, it not only tweaked its operations and recipes, it tried a new moniker and design.
