At Easton I believe it is replacing the Potbelly which replaced Johnny Rockets.

I ate at the Lane Ave. location yesterday, around 11AM. There were maybe 3 other tables occupied, but by the time we left there were only a few tables left open. Yes it was quite tasty. I will definitely go back. As other stated I would also liken it to a Chipotle v2.0 Italian.

Tonight I overheard a customer and employee talking about a Sawmill Rd. location opening sometime in the near future.

Piada posted a Facebook photo this morning and wrote “Dublin Sawmill, here we come!”
I haven’t been up in that area in a while, but the picture sort of looks like the location may be the previous home of the old house that had the golf store, at the SW corner of Sawmill Road and Banker Drive, just north of 161, next to Waterbeds-n-Stuff? I think the house has already been knocked down.

I think this would make a killing in the Lazarus building

+1

Would love to see a Piada open Downtown. They seem to be pretty seriously testing it out in Columbus (before going nation-wide?) and they need to test in an urban setting. ;)

a piada or chipolte would be awesome in the lazarus. but I don’t know if Piada would consider it. I think they rely heavily on a dinner crowd as well as for lunch, which wouldn’t really work right now for them downtown. i was at the Gahanna Piada Friday midnight about 830, the line was to the door, and this was when it was pouring down rain. i don’t see that happining at a downtown location, right now anyway. I know chipolte and piada have been compared heavily, and for good reason based on concept. anyways, the chipolte in brewery district is line to the door for lunch, but after 3pm you can get a burrito just about as fast as you can say burrito. downtown (under $10)restaurant scene is still heavily dependent on lunch business

Got your back on this one, tolemac. After the image insertion box is activated, just delete the http:// that magically appears in the box, because most images already have it at the beginning of the link. :]

Not only do they like to copy Chipotle, they like to put new locations right next to them. (Sawmill Rd. & Easton)

Not being negative, just sayin’. :)
