Blue Öyster Cult, Joan Jett & Aretha Franklin Announced for OSF 2014

The Ohio State Fair announced today several new additions to their 2014 musical entertainment lineup. The Blue Öyster Cult will perform on July 26th with Bachman & Turner and Foghat. The Beach Boys team up with America on July 29th. Joan Jett and the Blackhearts will perform with Heart on Wednesday, July 30th. The legendary Aretha Franklin will perform on Thursday, July 31st. Scotty McCreery was announced for July 26th. And Jesus Culture will play on July 28th.

Boyz ll Men and Zendaya Added to Ohio State Fair Concerts & Event Series

R&B crooners Boyz ll Men and pop star Zendaya are among the final acts to be added to the 2014 Ohio State Fair concert line-up.

Boyz ll Men, featuring Nathan Morris, Wanya Morris and Shawn Stockman, will take over the WCOL Celeste Center on July 24. The trio is known for many chart topping hits, including: “I’ll Make Love to You,” “On Bended Knee” and “One Sweet Day”.

Zendaya, with special guest Trevor Jackson, will perform on August 1. The multitalented Zendaya has starred on Disney Channel’s “Shake it Up”, competed on “Dancing with the Stars” and has hit the pop charts with her current single “Replay”.

Tickets for both shows go on sale on Saturday, April 26 at noon at Ticketmaster outlets.

All concert tickets purchased in advance include free admission to the Fair, allowing visitors to arrive early and enjoy all the Fair has to offer. At this time, a closing show in Crew Stadium is not scheduled.

Beard and Mustache Competition Coming to The Ohio State Fair

Big mustaches, long beards and interesting facial hair are all in hot demand for the first time in quite some time at the Ohio State Fair this summer. The first ever Beard and Mustache Competition will be taking place on Monday, July 28th from Noon to 4pm, and will be hosted by the folks in charge at the Old Familiar Barber Shop in Olde Towne East.
