    Ohio may allow sidewalk parking for scooters

    CINCINNATI, Ohio – Scooter and moped riders in Ohio may soon have more places to park after a bill passed the state Senate unanimously Nov. 6.

    A police officer told me once that if it has pedals, (i.e. moped) you can park it at a bike rack, but if it doesn’t you have to park it in a designated parking space. I don’t know if he was entirely correct from a statewide perspective, but that’s what he said.

    Those are the best kinds of laws. The ones that came about because a lawmaker’s pal was inconvenienced.
    But if the rest of the world can benefit, what is the harm?
