    AWESOME!

    TANSTAAFL!!

    The money shot is great:

So the point is, real-life things blind people to the great class struggle you’re waging in lower Manhattan. You, and the rest of America’s three-tenths of one percent.

You can take some consolation from that next year when you sacrifice your principles, abandon the Global People’s Liberation Party (or whatever), and vote to re-elect President Obama.

Insert “Tea Party” for “Global People’s Liberation Party” and it applies just the same.

Depends on who comes of out of the GOP primary… but if your point is voting for D/R is just voting for more of the same, OK.

My point is that most people are just trying to make ends meet, as the writer suggests. They aren’t looking to find a scapegoat in Big Corporations or Big Government. They aren’t obsessed that other people may be getting things they don’t deserve, be it the bonuses of an investment banker or the benefits of a public employee union member.

I agree most people are trying to make ends meet and thus, I have an honest question. Is this type of protesting (vague demands, spectacle) a luxury for the wealthy/ well off who can afford to be there and on the other end of the spectrum those with nothing to lose?
