individual vendors within the North Market will be renting out their areas as sleeping quarters…

So now when we hear that “Luca Brazzi sleeps with the fish” we can take that to mean he’s slumbering on a cot behind The Fish Guys display case.

Former North Market Site to Become Light Rail Terminal

(April 1) In a forward-looking move, city officials today announced the conversion of the aging North Market site into the southern terminus of the upcoming light rail subway line which will run underground from Worthington, with a planned branch to Powell.

“We already have the damn tunnel digging machine kicking around here anyway” said one city official, speaking on condition of anonymity and fear of taxpayer rebuke.

This would not be the first time that taxpayer dollars have been put in a hole in the ground in Franklin and Delaware counties, so several experienced local contractors are ready to submit competitive bids for the project, creating local jobs for ready workers in Ohio.

The demolition debris from the former North Market building will be re-purposed into permeable paving material for the new terminus site, and scrap metal which local artisans will craft into clever sculptures illustrating local natural themes such as horny deer and stranded carp. One local artisan expressed a great interest in recovering the yellow and black floor tiles in the upstairs dining area to craft a 70-foot tile mosaic of a swarm of yellowjacket wasps rising vigorously from their underground nest.

I heard it was going to be converted into an Urban Target.
