The same people who managed to somehow lose money on one of the busiest bars on campus and then re-locate it to a plaza miles away from the gateway only to have shootings, no business, and its liquor license revoked?

    Should be a gem…

I know this is South High, so not what’s normally been in this discussion…but anyone know anything about “Bar 7” that has a sign up at Hanford and High? (Also 7 Pool Hall and Bar on another sign). The Bar 7 sign is relatively new, so it seems like whatever is happening may be getting closer.

Since that’s the whole story, don’t comment on something when you don’t have all the correct information. They’ve owned B.Hamptons for over 5 years and that business is doing very well.

B.Hamptons closed years ago. Do you mean Hamptons on king? I hear that changed ownership not all that long ago also.

Hyde Park burger concept to take over MoJoe Lounge space

Following the beefy ambitions of many restaurants, Hyde Park Restaurant Group will open the Stack City Burger Bar in the old Cup O’ Joe/MoJoe Lounge space on the Cap at Union Station.

In leasing the 3,260-square-foot space, the Cleveland-based restaurant group has almost entirely commandeered the Cap, which straddles High Street in the Short North.

Stack City is expected to open the first week of August at 600 N. High St.

I’m glad they’re targeting an August opening; hopefully they have a lot of success.

Kit and Ace (http://www.kitandace.com/), a new clothing company from the founder of Lululemon and his wife, has announced a Columbus store will be opening this summer/fall. In Cincinnati, they are taking a space on Vine St in Over-the-Rhine, and rumors are that here they will set up shop on High in the Short North. They held an event at Fox in the Snow last week which would seem to support that (versus Easton/Polaris).

Has anyone heard any details or know where exactly they’re likely to end up?
