New fitness studio will be a haven for Columbus artists

OLDE TOWNE EAST—CORE Fitness Studios is expanding its personal training services into downtown Columbus from its Lewis Center location July 20 with a focus on continuing its commitment to the community it serves. In Lewis Center, that meant participating in local races, health fairs and charitable events. But for downtown, it means focusing on the artists who have turned Columbus into the “Indie Arts Capital of the World.”

MTV’s Made nutrition coach and CORE Fitness Studios owner Matthew Hickey is keenly aware of the mind-body connection and how inspiring surroundings can help push the body to its limits. With that in mind, he will feature inspiring pieces from local artists every month in his new location at 63 Parsons Ave, just one block south of Broad St. in historic Olde Towne East. This location will conveniently serve clients who live and work in Bexley, German Village, the Arena District, the Short North, Victorian Village, Olde

    Towne East and Clintonville.

First opened in 2004, CORE Fitness Studios has quickly become the premiere choice for Columbus residents when it comes to their fitness goals. Specializing in personal training, Core Fitness also offers massage therapy, individualized meal plans, and group training

along with a full retail and supplement line.

Doors to the new Core Fitness Studio will officially open on Monday, July 20th 2009 with a Grand Opening Party scheduled for August 1st 2-4. Personal training and massage sessions are by appointment and are either ½ hour or 1 hour in length.

You almost get the impression that MTV’s Made actually Made the owner into a sucess. That seems to be a real selling point in the marketing.

Actaully the owner has been well established before this. That’s the reason MTV asked him to participate in the show. core has been growning strong for almost 5 years now. This new location is going to be a great addition, and so much close than the gym in Lewis Center.

I must be missing the proper tab, but I can’t seem to find anything about prices.

Their Memberships page says “Call today or use the contact form for membership options and pricing.” In real estate, that generally translates to “if you don’t already know you can afford it, you probably can’t.” :-) Maybe things are different in the personal training world, though.

The new facility will be just personal training no monthly memberships. You can purchase these training sessions in different packages. Just depends on how serious you are and what you are training for. Not only do you get up to an hour at a time with your trainer, you’ll also have a nutrtion plan and daily tracking journal.

This studio is really only for people who are serious about weight loss. it’s very one on one and all about you. that’s what makes Core so awesome!
