Por’Ketta Food Truck to Launch This Spring
February 9, 2015 10:11 am – Walker Evans
If pork is what you crave, then Chef Tony Layne is here to serve you. After honing his kitchen craft at a pedigree list of local establishments (The 55 group, The Clock Restaurant, RJ Snappers, Marriott Hotels, etc) he’s making the jump into entrepreneurialism with the launch of Por’Ketta, a new food truck focused on (you guessed it) porchetta.

Columbus Set to Launch Pilot Program Bringing Food Tucks & Carts to the Hungry Masses
ECDI SPOTLIGHT — BY KEVIN BRENNAN ON FEBRUARY 26, 2015 AT 8:00 AM
This spring, you may notice a change in downtown Columbus. As city dwellers hustle to their offices, a new sight and smell might stop them in their paths. Columbus-ites will be able to enjoy a quick bite, on the go, without worrying about the rollercoaster of emotions that go hand-in-hand with typical fast food offerings: Where did this food come from? How many calories are in this? Is this actual beef? For the first time in Columbus’ history, food trucks & carts will be allowed to setup shop in select city-designated spots and curbsides.

Hot Chicken Takeover Launches Food Truck
March 11, 2015 2:28 pm – Walker Evans
Hot Chicken Takeover officially celebrated its one-year anniversary on March 9th, and this weekend the business will launch its third inception in the form of a mobile food truck. Owner (and head fryer) Joe DeLoss dropped the news back in September that a food truck was in the works, and after a winter of working on the conversion of a vehicle, mobile Hot Chicken is ready to roll.

I just went to Por’Ketta tonight and that porchetta sandwich was so damn good. Also, the potato salad rocked as well. One of the best I’ve had, but you have to like German style.March 24, 2015 6:01 pm at 6:01 pm #1068617
Here’s another new one that’s getting started this season:March 24, 2015 6:52 pm at 6:52 pm #1068619
I recently ate at Kinetic (which I’m told is a new truck) when it came and parked over at 5th Ave.and Dublin Rd. in Marble Cliff (there are 3 food trucks that stop here for lunch every week) and I got the Stir Fire. Their spin is that it’s a healthy AND tasty foodtruck!. While I’m not sure how healthy it actually is, the Stir Fire was definitely good :)March 24, 2015 7:41 pm at 7:41 pm #1068623
Kinetic is one year old, so still relatively new. I’ve enjoyed what I’ve had from them. ;)
