Very interesting.”Dare County and the states of North Carolina and Ohio are firing back against Connecticut over who flew first, the Wright brothers or Gustave Whitehead.”

They are claiming that Gustave Whitehead was the first in flight and ” this happened Aug. 14, 1901, near Bridgeport, Conn. – more than two years before Orville and Wilbur Wright did so over the dunes of Kitty Hawk on Dec. 17, 1903.”

Love the mocking of the claim “The commissioners playfully used theirs also to invite the people of Connecticut to visit the Wright Brothers National Memorial for an accurate history lesson, and to offer Connecticut’s aerospace industries a chance to relocate to North Carolina or Ohio.”
