Hubbard once again offers its customers the opportunity to “Become Legendary” during the Short North establishment’s second annual contest.
How? Hubbard’s mixologists have created five new unnamed fall cocktails using fresh ingredients as well as local spirits by Watershed Distillery & Tessora Limone.
Starting September 1 through September 30, patrons and fans of Hubbard are invited to come up with their own creative moniker for one or all five drinks. They can do so in one of two ways:
· while enjoying dinner or Happy Hour at Hubbard where they’ll receive a special form to review each drink’s ingredients and submit their suggested name; OR
· by submitting names online at http://www.Facebook.com/HubbardGrille where a description and image of each drink is provided.
As drink names are submitted, everyone can vote for their favorites on Facebook throughout the month of September.
On Wednesday, October 3, the top 15 names (3 per drink) based on the Facebook voting, will be judged by a panel of celebrity judges.
The final winning names will be sealed and kept secret until Wednesday, October 10, when Hubbard Grille will hold its second annual Legendary Reveal event to introduce the finalists and announce the 5 Legendary drink names. The Top 5 winners will not only gain Legendary status on Hubbard’s fall cocktail menu but will also win a $50 gift card to use to celebrate their newfound fame with friends.
Sponsored by Yelp Columbus and Live Local magazine, this entertaining contest is Hubbard’s way to engage not only its regular customers, but the entire community. Hubbard is also happy to announce that this year it will have a bonus sixth drink that will be named the “Art for Life” cocktail. When this unique creation is ordered, a portion of the proceeds will be donated directly to Art for Life to support the Columbus AIDS Resource Center Ohio.
