MORPC Education Forum on November 2 to Focus on Energy Saving Solutions

MORPC’s (Mid-Ohio Regional Planning Commission’s) Center for Energy & Environment will host a free education forum, “Saving Dollars and Kilowatt Hours Through Innovative Energy Programs” on Friday, November 2 at 10:00am at MORPC – located at 111 Liberty St., Suite 100 Columbus, OH 43215.
The forum will highlight three examples of energy saving approaches useful to residents, local governments, and businesses.
-Learn about the Home Energy Affordability Loan (HEAL) program, a project of the Clinton Foundation that may be coming soon to Franklin County. HEAL presents a model employee benefit program that offers an affordable financing mechanism for employees to conduct home energy audits and make home energy efficiency improvements.
-Find out how Franklin County Metro Parks is working to identify and prioritize actions to reduce energy and emissions through their recent carbon footprint analysis, which is available at no cost to Green Pact members.
-Hear from a central Ohio manufacturing business working to achieve financial savings while tackling their energy and environmental footprint.
