That speech had me laughing at some parts. I think he was putting our North Bank Park on par with New York’s Central Park. Anyone else hear it?

Politicians crack me up. I chuckled when he said “Anyone ever hear of Central Park? Well welcome to North Bank Park.” Its going to be beautiful when the mile is done, but central park?!?!?

He also kept referring to “Columbus. America’s 21st century city!”

I was waiting for him to finish it up with, “Remember to vote Coleman for Governor in ’06!”

I’d like him to be governor just so I can hear him say “Ohio, America’s 21st century state.”

Anyone have the transcript of this by chance? Or an article with highlights?

Unfortunately, this is all I could find: link

All the good parts (so bad they were good) were excluded.

Hahah… i was planning on going to this, but I was out of town. Sounds like I missed out on some funny stuff. I guess it’s good though that he’s talking up our city and trying to promote it as the best city ever, even if it gets a little silly sometimes. ;)
