Local Growers Breakfast and Workshop with The Crest Gastropub, March 16 2014
The Crest Gastropub is hosting a workshop to showcase some of the local farmers who provide the food for their menu.
The goal for this workshop is to help farmers learn more about selling to a restaurant, food safety, and The Crest’s policy on food purchasing from local farmers. When are the ideal times to sell? What is necessary to sell to The Crest and other restaurants? What is the difference between selling a “value added product” and produce? How do new food safety standards impact farmers selling to restaurants?
OEFFA staff will be available to answer grower questions. Bring your ideas and questions!
