Lauren WilsonParticipantThe small plates portion of the menu looks really good. Hopefully they expand the rest of the menu to maybe include some more interesting stuff. Putting it on my way too long list of new places I need to try.

dermParticipantNot trying to be snarky or judgemental or anything like that. Have not been here since Hartmut was serving. What exactly is the difference between Jack’s and McCasky’s? The menus are similar, the drinks are similar, small plates, television sports bar, mac n cheese, sandwiches, etc. What is the improvement on the recently failed place that makes me want to come here. The two menus look identical.

CoremodelsParticipantFood quality is light years apart for one. More importantly, they’re embracing the pub thing and keeping it in the pub area (not the formal area) and it works.

ches08ParticipantGrabbed lunch here yesterday. The Turkey Reuben with fries was really good! My co-worker had the double bacon cheeseburger with fries and he also said it was delicious. Very good portion sizes, the fries were hand cut, fresh and nicely crisp. Both our lunches were under $9 a piece which is very reasonable for lunch in this area. Especially when the food is good.

NewsParticipantRestaurant Review: Jack Whitney’s
Published on December 18, 2013 10:00 am
By: Miriam Bowers AbbottIt seems like just yesterday, when Jack Whitney’s was McCasky’s.
Actually, it was almost yesterday, it was this summer. In the restaurant world, a season ago is just like yesterday, because it takes forever to flip a joint. The fact that Jack Whitney’s got the licensing and staffing and things up and running for a fall opening: that’s life in the fast lane, right there.
