    Imbibing……. in the Brewery District.

In 1836 , German Immigrant Louis Hoster opened the first brewery in Columbus. At the height of the industry there were 5 breweries located in what is now know as the brewery district. As the years passed consolidation, competition and the 18th amendment in 1919 (prohibition) aided in the decline of the industry.

Join the Columbus Brewing Company and Columbus Historical Society as we welcome the Great Great Grandson of Louis Hoster, Jay Hoster, to tell the story of Columbus brewing history.

As an added bonus, guests will be able to purchase a flight of beer and learn about the beer making process from a CBC brewmaster.

Light appetizers provided by CHS and CBC, cash bar available.

Reserve your bar stool today, space is limited.

$20.00 for non- members and $15.00 for members.
