    There’s no place like the North Market to get you into the holiday spirit. From the friendly salutations of

    the merchants to the array of delectable cuisine, the bustle of market commerce on a winter weekend is sure

    to warm your heart and have you humming holiday tunes! Join us for the most splendid of seasonal

    weekends at the North Market for Holiday Marketfare on Saturday, December 7 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and

    Sunday, December 8 from Noon to 5 p.m.

    Our merchants will be armed with an array of samples to tempt your taste buds and help you formulate

    your holiday feasts. As always, they are endowed with the wisdom of years of experience to give you

    excellent advice. The second floor will be home to demonstrations in the NoMa kitchen from some of the

    Market’s merchants including Omega Artisan Baking, CaJohn’s Flavor and Fire, Brezel and Bluescreek

    Farm Meats. We will have over 20 of the city’s finest artisans for a weekend of shopping for distinctive

    handmade gifts. Jewelry, glass, textiles, bath and body products and knitted items are just a few of the

    categories represented by the local artists in our craft fair. Local musicians will provide holiday tunes to

    shop and dine by. We will also have the new North Market Cookbook for sale on the second floor of the

    Market. The whole family can get into the holiday spirit at the North Market’s Marketfare.

    New this year:

    Early Bird (we mean) Rooster Specials: Both Saturday and Sunday, the first 100 visitors through the door

    will receive a free North Market poster.

     Bring a canned good or donate to the giving tree in support of the Give Like You Mean It! campaign

     Free recipe cards featuring items from North Market Cookbook: Recipes and Stories From

     Appearances by North Market’s mascot, Roody the Rooster.

     8 a.m. – 5 p.m., Marketfare opens

     8 a.m. – 12 p.m., Christmas tree and wreath sales on the farmers’ market plaza

     11 a.m.-1 p.m., holiday music by Marion Funk, accordion

     11 a.m.- 12:30 p.m., Omega Artisan Baking Cooking Demonstration

     12:30 p.m.-2 p.m., CaJohn’s Flavor and Fire Cooking Demonstration

     2 p.m.- 3:30 p.m., Bluescreek Farm Meats Demonstration

     3 p.m.-7 p.m., Holiday Tasting (beer and wine) presented by The Barrel and Bottle, NoMa Kitchen

     2 p.m.-3:30 p.m., CaJohn’s Flavor and Fire Cooking Demonstration

     3p.m. -5 p.m., holiday music by Dan Heidt

    Marketfare will take place on Saturday, December 7 from 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. and Sunday, December 8 from
