Join your neighbors and friends for the FIRST Harrison West Jazz Stage show of the season with the Tom Davis Trio, this Sunday September 13th at 1pm at the Harrison Park Gazebo in Harrison West.
The Tom Davis Trio features guitarist Tom Davis (Vaughn Wiester’s FJO, The Broadstreet Lineup, The Ohio Swingtet), bassist Greg Wolfram (Pete Mills Quartet, Rorschach Quartet), and drummer Dan DiPiero (TOO, Small Songs). The TDQ will perform music from Davis’ debut straight-ahead jazz CD, “Home” as well as new, unrecorded material. The music is heavily influenced by Davis’ heroes and colleagues in Columbus and Edinburgh (Scotland), as well as the great mid-century jazz guitar sound of greats Jim Hall and Kenny Burrell.
Bring a blanket & an umbrella (since there isn’t much shade) and your appetite. “Dog People” Hot Dog Food Truck will be onsite serving delicious eats, along with J-Pops popcicles. It should be a great day and a beautiful day to be outside to listen to some jazz! Please tell your friends and neighbors!
There’s a playground next to the gazebo for the kids.
FREE performance. 1 to 2:30 p.m.
