Zoombezi Bay on opening weekend, May 18 and 19, from 10:30 a.m. to 7 p.m.
This season, guests can enjoy 17 state of the art water slides, a wave pool, an action river, a lazy river and more without physically standing in line. Zoombezi Bay will offer ZOOMPASS, a virtual ride reservation system that holds a guests place in line electronically, so they can spend more time having fun and less time waiting in line for the most popular slides.
“ZOOMPASS is like your smart phone – it is technology allowing you to have an even better experience,” said John Gannon, Senior Vice President of Zoombezi Bay.
Also new this season, Zoombezi Bay will offer special promo days throughout the summer beginning Monday, June 10. Offers are as follows:
Mondays: Students In the Sun – $10 discounts with student ID’s or grade cards
Tuesdays: Season Pass Appreciation Days – discounts on food and beverage, gift shop items, and ZOOMPASS
Wednesdays: Safety in the Sun – learning programs and discounts for the achievement of safety programs
Thursdays: Fun in the Sun – live entertainment at various times throughout the day
Other enhancements have been made to better the guest experience this season. Seventeen cabanas have been equipped with overhead fans, refrigerators and safes and additional lounge chairs have been placed throughout the park. The season pass entrance off the parking lot has also been enhanced with cooler storage and a small picnic area.
“A season pass is the best way to enjoy Zoombezi Bay all summer long,” said Gannon. “You can have an entire summer’s worth of entertainment for your family.”
Admission to Zoombezi Bay includes access to the Columbus Zoo on the same day. For the most economical option consider a Zoombezi Bay season pass which includes admission to the Zoo, free parking, dive in movies, and a private entrance and cooler storage area off the parking lot.

CELEBRATE KIDZFEST AT THE COLUMBUS ZOO
Powell, OH – It’s all about the kids at the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium as cartoons Tom and Jerry help bring Jungle Jack’s Landing alive in celebration of KidZfest on July 13 and 14 from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Kids of all ages will enjoy a day filled with activity stations, entertainment, Zoo Character Ambassadors, keeper talks and more surprises designed just for them. Additional activities include:
Tom and Jerry Meet and Greets Daily at 11:40 a.m., 12:20, 2:25, 3:05 and Presented by Donatos 4:45 p.m.

Teddy Bear Safari returns to the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium with special guests the Berenstain Bear family, on August 10 from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Children ages 2 to 9 who bring a teddy bear on this day will receive complimentary admission when accompanied by a paying adult.
Nationwide Children’s Hospital clinic volunteers will be on site offering medical attention and wellness checkups to teddies at the “Bear Care Den” from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Stations will be stocked with stitches and Band-Aids to patch up scrapes and minor bear “boo boos” in an effort to teach children about their annual check-ups before heading back to school.
In addition to the teddy bear clinic, visitors can watch some of their favorite animals beat the heat while receiving ice blocks filled with treats during “Block and Roll.” Donatos also presents the Character Ambassador Rolling Celebration and Character Story Time featuring the entire Berenstain Bear family.

WHAT: The Columbus Zoo and Aquarium is celebrating Father’s Day by offering dads and
granddads free admission with the purchase of a child’s admission.

WHY: In celebration of Father’s Day, the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium is offering free admission to dads and granddads (a $9.99-$17.99 value) with paid admission for their child or grandchild. This promotion applies to children and grandchildren of any age.
With the summer season officially underway, Father’s Day is a great time to enjoy all that the Zoo has to offer – including several new attractions. Guests can visit first-time reindeer father, Sven, and his two calves; watch the Pirates for the Planet battle poachers on the new Pirate Island* boat ride; and learn more about animal care and conservation during the Zoo’s revamped Keeper Talk program, now presented by Germain Honda of Dublin and Germain Toyota of Columbus.
Other favorites include opportunities to feed a giraffe* and ride a camel* at the newest and largest region at the Zoo: Heart of Africa! The Animals on Safari shows, starring trained domestic and exotic animals, will take place at 12 p.m., 2 p.m., 4 p.m., and 6 p.m.; and entertaining animal demonstrations at Animal Encounters Village are scheduled for 11 a.m., 1 p.m., 3 p.m., and 5 p.m.
*A nominal fee is required for the Pirate Island boat ride, giraffe feeds and camel rides.
