Great Lime Shortage of 2014

Not only has the lime shortage started messing with my Margaritas, now it is messing with my tacos. I went to Taco Hass and I got no lime slices with my tacos. Granted, I usually use some of the slices in my iced tea, but I like a little lime on the taco, too.

In prepping for a Cinco de Mayo party this weekend, I had a lot of trouble finding good limes. They were 1.59 each and about the size of walnuts. It was actually cheaper to buy organic (1.29 each) :(

I also bought the $1.29 organic limes. They were dry and disappointing.

I paid $1.59 for a nice one at Kroger today.
Consider trying the Nellie and Joe’s lime juice.
