Position: Part Time Sandwich Creator
Hours: Monday – Friday 11am – 2pm
Location: 5525 Park Center Circle, Dublin OH 43016
Wages: Start at $9/hr (plus tips)
– Create made to order steamed deli sandwiches on bagels
– That’s all!
– We are looking to hire 1-3 individuals who ideally have some restaurant experience and have late morning/early afternoons open. You will not be responsible for any prep work or cleaning, just show up 15 minutes before service starts.
– You will be working inside a Nationwide Insurance office building with 1,900 employees, expect to make 50-100 sandwiches per day.
– Hours per week will depend on your schedule, expect to work 6-18 hours per week (Holidays off).
*Additional hours could be added if you have time to work on the food cart
-The Owner of Short North Bagel Deli will work along side you the first few months the deli is open to get it going, once the deli is fully operational the owner will be looking for someone to manage the deli on a day to day basis.
– If the SNBD concept works at this Dublin location, it will be reproduced at other office buildings around Columbus, each location will have managerial roles available.
Short North Bagel Deli started in July 2011 as a mobile food cart serving steamed deli sandwiches on bagels. It serves on the streets, corporate office buildings, private events, festivals, etc. SNBD won “Best New Business” in 2011 presented by the SBB and “Best Food Cart” 2012 presented by Columbus Underground.
The end goal for SNBD is to open a brick and mortar location either in the Short North or on Ohio State’s Campus in the next 2-3 years, the Deli opening in Dublin is the 2nd phase of our Business Plan. Any team members added to Short North Bagel Deli will have the opportunity grow along side the business and be in place for managerial roles down the road.

Village Seeks Two Contract Professionals
The German Village Society is looking for a top-notch fundraiser who understands what makes this not-for-profit effort so vital to Columbus and Central Ohio. The idea of hiring help in our development efforts has been around for several years – in fact, the 2008 Step-Up Campaign asked members to “step up” by one membership level in order to fund transition to a new business model. That new business model includes securing more grant funding, creating more corporate sponsorships and partnerships, and making the case to individual donors about why they would benefit from supporting the German Village Society and all that we do for Columbus. These are sources of funding that allow us to think big and create dynamic new programming, and they also unchain us from the tyranny of a rainy Tour day.
How will we fund this new position? The Board has carefully budgeted from Step-Up monies and money budgeted for a Haus und Garten Tour event planner.
Our Tour planner for the past three years, Adrianne Mellen Ramstack, and her company, Adrianne Elizabeth, have notified the Society that 2012 was the final year of service for Tour. Adrianne raised significant dollars for Tour, added her own volunteer force to manage Tour day, and greatly professionalized the event. GVS is grateful for Adrianne Elizabeth’s work.
The new fundraising consultant job is NOT the Haus und Garten Tour event planning job as defined by Adrianne Elizabeth. This is a fundraising position that will hold certain responsibilities to Tour planning. The ideal candidate will be a proven leader in development campaigns, donor cultivation, membership development and organizational coordination. We’re looking for someone with fundraising, development, nonprofit management, business development or related skills, and someone who knows how to throw a charitable event as part of the effort.
This job will not be structured as a full-time hire – in fact, the hours will be incredibly flexible and the candidate will work on a consultancy contract.
We are also seeking a bookkeeper. Cheryl Matthews has tendered her resignation. Cheryl worked with Trustees Roy Bieber and Darci Congrove to organize our finances three years ago, and she did yeoman’s work, and provided a valuable service for three years. She worked directly with many committee chairs to make sure their designated or event funds were recorded correctly; and she worked with the auditor, Russ Arledge, Finance Committee members and the treasurer in the period when there was no director. In addition to bringing professionalism to her role, Cheryl gave back to the Society in countless ways. The process for a search for a new bookkeeper is being led by Treasurer Nick Cavalaris.

Tech Support Associate
Click4Care software (www.click4care.com) in Powell is hiring for a tech support associate position. This is an entry level job (low to mid 30K a year) with full benefits. This is a level one support position which will initially involve a good amount of administrative work, and will grow into a frontline support position to handle level one questions on the Click4Care product.
The Click4Care product is an enterprise level system used by insurance companies to track the healthcare of their members, and is not something you will have ever seen before. What I am looking for in this job is excellent communication skills, an ability to learn a very complex software product, and a good attitude about unexpected challenges. The job will be 8-5 at first, but as your skill set grows you will be added to the pager rotation for after hours calls, and will have some after hours work.
The ideal candidate may be from more of a liberal arts than a technical background – the ability to understand the customers business and communicate clearly with them is going to be more important than anything else in this position.
