Frustration with Inaccurate/Misleading Geographic Locations in Media Reporting

Maybe they could have gotten away with, “within earshot of downtown.” I heard it in the distance and I don’t live anywhere near it. I was surprised because it’s rare to hear gunfire in the WP anymore and by the number of shots.

You’d think though after years of broadcasting they could standardize some nomenclature or use actual neighborhood names. It’s not like most of them were invented yesterday. Except for the Peach District. ;)

Does this mean that “the powers that be” in Milo-Grogan have so much more influence on the local media that they’re able to disassociate this shooting with their neighborhood and attach it to Downtown instead?
