The fourth annual Beatles marathon will be held on December 28, 2013 at The Bluestone. Local musicians Joe Peppercorn and Chris Bolognese started the marathon while on hiatus from their band, The Whiles. The marathon is a 12 hour show featuring Peppercorn, and a variety of musicians, performing all 214 official Beatles songs in chronological order. Traditionally held in smaller venues like The Treebar and Kobo, this year marks the move to the 1500 capacity venue, The Bluestone.

The last two years, the show has sold out early, leading to long lines, over crowded venues, and many concert goers left out in the cold. “The growth and popularity of this event has been insane,” said Jacob Wooten owner Kobo, home of the Beatles marathon for the past two years. “Joe (Peppercorn) has created something amazing here and it’s time to move to a space where everyone can come and enjoy.”

Along with the venue shift, Wooten said to expect surprise additions to the set list. “This is like watching someone break the tape on the musical Olympics and then keep going,” said Wooten. This years’ Beatles musician line up includes Joe Peppercorn, Chris Bolognese (The Whiles), Matt Peppercorn (The Whiles), Jesse Cooper (Reciever), Jake Remley (The Whiles), Paul Headley (The Whiles), Phil Cogley (Saturday Giant), Tommy Young (Low Men), Nate Rothacker, and more. Elizabeth Records will be on hand with a special Beatles record shop.

Tickets go on sale December 1, 2013 at Kobo, Little Rock, Elizabeth Records, Alison Rose, Spoonful Records, The Bluestone, and for $10 and will be $15 at the door. In addition to general admission, a limited number of special seating packages are available for $200. Each package includes four tickets, a dedicated table with beer bucket for the group, special gift bags for each ticket holder with a Beatles record, limited addition Beatles Marathon screen-printed poster and shirt, and two parking passes. An official pre-show brunch and cocktail hour will be held at Little Rock
