Sounds like a perfect location for a Columbus B Spot.

Why’s that? I seem to recall reading that all of his B Spot locations are in suburban locations.

Looking at their website, it looks like they also have one in the Cleveland Casino and inside 2 stadiums (only open during games/events).

For the same reason that it was a good location for FlipSide. I think a gourmet burger place would do well with crowds from the convention center (not that they can’t get a great burger at Knead).

I don’t think the fact that his other locations are in suburban locations or at sports facilities means the concept wouldn’t translate to an urban location.

Gotcha. I just assumed that if their current expansions continue to look like they do, I imagine their site search in the market might only get as urban as The Shops on Lane Avenue.

Yeah, you could be right! They may not be looking in the downtown area. But they should! ;)

Tried Flip Side for the first time last night. I had just your simple cheddar cheese burger. Pretty tasty. The wife had the mushroom burger and liked it too. The onion rings could have used a bit more crunch, but were good just the same. I think the pricing is on par with the quality when it came to the food. But beer prices were a buck or two too high. I ordered a Scrimshaw which came in a 12 oz. pilsner glass for six bucks. Ouch.
