One church in D.C. thinks so:

D.C. church says a bike lane would infringe upon its constitutional ‘rights of religious freedom’

The District government is going through the rather municipally boring process of determining where to build a bike lane on the east side of downtown.

And one church has given a charged response to some proposals, saying that a bike lane near its property would infringe upon “its constitutionally protected rights of religious freedom and equal protection of the laws.”…

Not unless it’s against their religion to walk a block or take transit…

I just read that before seeing it posted here. How ridiculous! The article also mentions the church’s attorney saying that churches have moved tot he suburbs because of lack of parking. I’m sure that means they are also leaving behind their congregations because who in DC is going to drive long distances to go to church when there are so many others in their area?

Sounds like their congregation is shrinking and they’re stressed about it.
