    Anyone actually reading this stuff?

Preventing Senior Falls Starts in the Bathroom

Unbelievable. Even I didn’t think they would kill what was left of ToP that fast.

Who could resist such engaging local news and commentary as:

“Keeping your bank account safe on the internet”
“Boston financial expert urges consumers to communicate”
“Sleep apnea and type 2 diabetes”
“New engineering formula: diversity equals innovation”
“Got deer? Freeze them out this winter”
“Six easy ways to improve your kitchen, bathroom and bedroom”
“Bringing Joys of a Great Book to Blind and Visually Impaired Readers”

Walker, you’ve clearly got some serious competition.

These stories started showing up well before the Dispatch bought TOP.

Speaking of TOP… can someone explain the joke to me?

    CU versus Grindr?

    http://www.theotherpaper.com/news/article_74bfc7da-032e-11e2-96e2-001a4bcf887a.html

    LOLGAYS?

TOP is insulting CU readers as being lonely straight people?

Do I need to put on my middle-schooler hat today?

Cause they weren’t gutsy enough to put CU up against the Dispatch?

Sounds like the “ah, you figure it out” is a call to action for people to come here. So, maybe not so bad?

What was the category supposed to be? How is one like the other at all?

I’m still trying to figure out how we beat Grindr.

I would say Columbus Alive & TOP went downhill quick after being bought by the Dispatch but they didn’t have too far to fall.

Anyone notice there’s about 1/3 the staff photos in the front of Alive as compared to, say, last year?

Plus, between them, they’ve discontinued some of the small things that made both more bearable to read — like John Stewart’s column, some comic strips, etc.

Heck, I’m still waiting for Alive to discover that white people aren’t the only ones in Columbus.

I at first assumed that the joke was “HA HA CU IS GAY!” which I guess is kind of funny in a Beavis and Butthead kind of way.

The last time a TOP writer tried to describe the people who posted here, it didn’t go well. It’s probably for the best.

So my brother-in-law told me that he heard the editor of C Magazine, Jason Ohlson, was possibly being offered and maybe even already accepted the newly open position of editor of Columbus Monthly? Has anyone else heard this? Thoughts?

    Not true.

    Regarding Columbus Monthly:

The cover of the magazine has featured food or dining on 4 of the 7 issues published thus far in 2015.

This despite the fact that the magazine has been operated by the same folks operating Columbus Crave, which of course specializes in food and drink.

This clearly indicates that the customer base they’re after–or able to draw–into selling magazines is driven by dining out. But it’s not good for much else.
