    Columbus International 5k walk/run

    November 6, 9:00 am

Start/Finish at Veterans Memorial, 300 W. Broad St.

$25 entry fee. Register at http://www.CIPcolumbus.org or call 614-221-0034.

Hosted by Columbus International Program and Columbus Kiwanis Club

A parade of nations will entertain and inspire runners and walkers with exhibits and entertainment from countries around the world. The 5k course begins at the historic Veterans Memorial on Broad Street and will amble along the Scioto River bike path crossing banks at the confluence of the Olentangy River. The 5k continues through the promenade of the new Scioto Mile development and culminates back at Veterans Memorial in time to partake in the merriment of the Columbus International Festival.

Each 5k participant will receive a free admission ticket to the Columbus International Festival and an event T-shirt. All runners/walkers wearing a cultural outfit will receive a special gift. Prizes will be awarded for the most creative outfit, so dress up to represent your nationality or heritage! Top men and women finishers are also awarded prizes.

Proceeds benefit the Kiwanis International Eliminate Project and supports CIP’s mission to promote international understanding through intercultural exchange.

(Refreshing this post since the event is just a few weeks away!)

Now that the marathon is over, join us for a non-competitive run/walk through the Scioto Mile on Nov. 6. All participants receive a ticket to the Columbus International Festival[/url]!

Your $25 registration fee benefits the Kiwanis International Eliminate Project.
