Super Mega Jumbo US Brewery Map:
Looks fairly current for Columbus. ;) Couple of omissions.
Pretty cool!! I appreciate that its not realistic to expect the map to show EVERY craft brewer in the country, so take this with a grain of reality…BUT, I find it ironic that two of the oldest, well-established brewers in town (Columbus Brewing and Barley’s) are missing. Again, pretty cool map!!February 27, 2014 6:37 pm at 6:37 pm #487811
Zaftig Brewing tasting room now open
Written by Cheryl Harrison on February 27, 2014
Zaftig Brewing Co. made its debut earlier this year at the Grandview High Gravity Hullabaloo, proclaiming big, strong beers as their specialty.
The fledgling brewery’s full-bodied brews have been since been seen at The Ohio Taproom, The Daily Growler and Oldfield’s North Fourth Tavern, but now will also be available direct from the brewery.

Checking in with The Granville Brewing Company
Written by Cheryl Harrison on March 10, 2014
The Granville Brewing Company has been busy – but you wouldn’t know it from their website, social media accounts or local media coverage, because they’ve been pretty much radio silent for the past year.
“I think we’ll go at least another year being the small, quiet brewery that not too many people have heard of, and just continue to slowly grow our hard core fan base,” said co-owner Jay Parsons.

Spring Into: Collaboration Brews
April 6, 2014 9:46 am – Ayana Wilson
We are living in the great age of craft brewing. Every week, it seems, there’s a new artisanal beer to be savored, and given the number of craft breweries located just in the state, more often than not, that new beer has local roots.

There are some fairly glaring errors and omissions in the above Business First article. I blame the internet. Or alcohol.June 17, 2014 1:04 pm at 1:04 pm #1025026

From the revised article:
Update: Our original slideshow had Zauber Brewing Co. as the No. 4 brewer based on incorrect information supplied by the company.
It also had two different breweries listed as #7, but that too was fixed. I’ve also since realized that the article only ranked the breweries that responded to a survey, hence no Gordon Biersch, Actual, Wolf’s Ridge, and others.June 17, 2014 5:21 pm at 5:21 pm #1025089

Lineage Brewing Coming to Clintonville in 2015
June 17, 2014 2:40 pm – Walker Evans
Not too long ago it seemed like it was tough to find a good drink in Clintonville, but in the past few years it’s rapidly become a haven for beer aficionados looking for craft brews on tap, growler filling stations and specialty six-packs from corner carryouts. And in 2015 that trend will continue when Clintonville get its first brewery and brewpub with the opening of Lineage Brewing at 2971 North High Street.
