I am so disappointed. I feel so angry…there are good ideas in this casino notion, certainly veiled in avarice and corporate greed and garnished with weaknesses, but when our damned democracy is subverted, the violators should be punished to the fullest extent of the law. And then some. I will be very interested to see whether Penn National et. al pursue litigation against Field Works — I think that could be telling of how far up the ladder this conspiracy was sourced. I obviously revoke my prior endorsement of Issue 3.

There is this indictment, not to mention Penn National Gaming has previously settled multiple allegations of securities fraud.

Just the kind of people for whom we should amend our state constitution.

Do people really need that much more information to cast a NO vote on issue 3?

No on issue 3 has always seemed like a no brainer. Even before this individual’s indictment.

I guess he was GAMBLING on not getting caught.

It looks like he lost that BET.

I guess when the CHIPS are down, he was just a crook.

    (Insert additional pain-inducing puns here.)

Aw man… those puns stink almost as badly as this sleezy casino ‘plan’.

I know some folks on the fence, but I havn’t heard anyone (in person) express any support or say they’re definitely for it.

All of my friends with debilitating gambling problems are all for it.

I support some sort of casino gambling in Ohio, but I don’t support this particular legislation.

Craps is a hoot, especially when the table is hot and everyone is winning. Good times…BUT… the short north flyer posted in the other thread brings up a compelling Not In My Backyard argument…

I wonder if most folks that are against Issue 3 are also against any Casinos being built in Cbus? The flyer above makes a strong argument against any Casinos being built near thriving restaurants and bars.

Quick story: Was playing Craps at Wheeling Island, dude next to me was gambling with thousands when everyone else was gambling with $10 chips. I was chatting with him and mentioned I was from Cbus and Casinos are in the ballot again. He commented that its best to not have it in your back yard due to grabbing a happy hour drink could easily cost you several hundred dollars. It’s a good point. Casino gambling is fun for me as I only do it on trips (business or vaca)

BTW – who is running the website OhioIssue3.com ??? It is has to be the most confusing campaign in the city. Are they for or against it? What’s their purpose. I can’t figure it out.

    I’ve said that many times.

Fieldworks had about 5 people fill out absentee requests illegally. Sounds like ACORN during the Obama campaign on a much smaller scale.

As for people who support it, that’s all I see actually.
