    Camp Chase Public Meeting:

    Metro Parks (Columbus and Franklin County Metro Parks) and the Ohio Department of
    Transportation (ODOT) invite interested citizens to attend a public meeting concerning the extension of the Camp Chase Trail bikeway along the Camp Chase Railroad from Hall Road to Sullivant Avenue on the southwest side of Columbus.

    The public meeting will be held on November 28, 2012 from 4:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Westgate Community Center, 455 S. Westgate Ave., Columbus, Ohio, 43204.

    Postponed: The public meeting on Camp Chase that was to be held on November 28, 2012 is postponed until a new date can be set. The Metroparks Project Manager has a family emergency out of town.

    West Side Leaders Excited About Casino and Future Green Development

    Since opening nearly five months ago, much of the media discussion of the Hollywood Casino in Columbus has centered on the number of people coming through the door and what kind of experience they are having once they do. A group of planners, business leaders and other interested parties gathered at an event on Thursday night to tackle the issue from another angle – how has the casino impacted the neighborhood outside its doors, and what does the future hold for the area?

    New Park and Trailhead Designed to be West Side Destination

    The Columbus Recreation and Parks Department is finalizing plans for a 45 acre park on the west side. Wilson Road Park, which will occupy a long-vacant triangle of land across the railroad tracks from the Hollywood Casino, will also serve as a trailhead for the recently-funded Columbus portion of the Camp Chase Trail.
