NRI seems to move slowly at times… like with the Arena District residential planned for the old casino site. We heard about that years ago.

Yeah… what on earth could be distracting them…

They’re a major company. They handle multiple projects at once. But if what you’re saying is true, we should expect the Byers site to sit undeveloped for years to come.

They also need to acquire funding and prep the site. My guess is we won’t see any real action for two years other than them tearing the building down.

Does NRI ever need to acquire funding? I mean they may do a few joint Ventures, but I thought they existed mainly as a way to reinvest Nationwide’s insurance profits in a safe and controlled way.

Yeah, they can handle multiple projects at once, which is evident in the fact that they’ve continued to building out the Arena District while simultaneously building out Grandview Yard over the past few years.

Just pointing out that it’s not like they’ve just been sitting around doing nothing recently. ;)

I would assume that there is some outside investment needed. Even as simple as a company like Columbia Gas committing to moving to the AD.
