Restaurant Review: Bareburger
April 24, 2014 4:11 pm – Miriam Bowers Abbott
Bareburger: it seems like a good thing. Sure, there’s a little bit of chain-ness to the new Short North burger barn. The chairs and tables have a sturdy suburban accent to them, for example. But the big salvaged Yankee Trader sign that hangs proudly on one wall gives Bareburger street cred for independent spirits.

I do not think the price is unreasonable for the quality of the food. But everyone has their threshold for paying for food.
I’d rather pay a few bucks more for a really good “gourmet” burger then get some crappy burger from Thurmans…October 21, 2014 3:17 pm at 3:17 pm #1047048

Ate there once and didn’t find it too amazing. I still feel that The Rossi burger is the best burger in Columbus.May 12, 2015 10:26 am at 10:26 am #1075958

Pretty expensive and was not blown away by the sides and their small portions. I will likely try it again but the bison burger I got was pretty dry. You can’t beat the location and the proximity to Nationwide Arena on game nights.May 12, 2015 1:14 pm at 1:14 pm #1076000
Man, I live a street North of the delivery zone! :*(May 18, 2015 2:59 pm at 2:59 pm #1076652

I think the real story about the new Bareburger location is that a new 3-story mixed use building was approved for Clintonville. Anyone have the rendering?May 18, 2015 5:41 pm at 5:41 pm #1076698

That’s because it is in Beechwold. Different neighborhood. Different neighbors.May 18, 2015 8:59 pm at 8:59 pm #1076737

Actually, the renderings will be reviewed/approved by the Clintonville Area Commission, so we went with Clintonville for the article:
I think he means the people of Beechwold wont get up in arms like the people closer to North Broadway. As long as there are no neighbors getting up in arms, it’s an easy approval, yes, by the Clintonville Area Commission. The people that typically get up in arms probably won’t even care or bat an eye because it’s not the ‘heart’ of Clintonville. In that respect it is different neighborhood. Different neighbors. Same area commission.
