New York Times-bestselling author Augusten Burroughs will be in Worthington next Thursday (Jan. 23) as part of Worthington Libraries’ Hear & Now author series!

You might expect to pay a lot, but tickets for the event, which will be held at the McConnell Arts Center, 777 Evening St., are only $10 and include a meet-the-author reception.

Best-known for the memoir Running with Scissors, in which he recalls his teen years growing up as a ward of his mother’s psychiatrist, Burroughs has also penned the autobiographical A Wolf at the Table, Possible Side Effects, Magical Thinking and Dry.

In his most recent book, This is How: Help for the Self, he shares insights into what his life experiences have taught him.
