Thanks tornangel012; if I had more time I would have ordered from Mood. I didn’t have time to wait for the swatches to be mailed so I needed a place in town.

I liked Sew to Speak, they had good quality fabrics that were solid. Currently, I am not allowed to use patterned fabrics for my homework. I found cotton voile (4 different colors on sale), wool felt, bamboo jersey, cotton denim, cotton corduroy, etc. She gave me my first 5 swatches free (smaller ones). Then after that the cost depended on the type of fabric and I got a whole 1/8 of a yard.

I don’t think I will ever be going back to JoAnn’s; I went there for my first project and could only find one random silk dupioni that I liked and the rest were polyester or cottons for quilting. I spent $80 on crap LOL. No free swatches.
