I’d have to say the quality has also gone down too. I’m not sure what they changed, but it sure doesn’t taste as good as it did the first year.

Yeah, meant to post something last week. I was one of their biggest fans, but the food I had last weekend was just not nearly what it used to be.

Tex mex of the gods. Wet and cheesy all day.

Well, here is hoping that it is up to snuff of the original down the street. We visited the location in Grove City a couple times, and it just wasn’t the same.

    Restaurant Review: Talita’s
    Published on July 10, 2013 9:00 am
    By: Miriam Bowers Abbott

Columbus didn’t used to have very many taco joints. Back in the last century, Talita’s was the lone Tex-Mex duck in the middle of Clintonville. It disappeared a few years ago, but now it’s back in a new neighborhood location.

Cactus is not on the menu. Pork stomach, lovable though it is, is not on the menu. If you’re looking for a joint that’s authentic to Mexico, you’re barking up the wrong tree at Talita’s

Last time I was there, which was about a month ago on a Saturday, they had just recently changed the format from counter service to sit down.

For the last week or so there has been a sign stating they were closed for emergency maintenance. Then a restaurant matching that description pops up on Sokol email blast for sale.

Difficult location. They should have bricked-up that drive through and allowed two-way traffic in and out from Arcadia.

Should have also fixed the parking lot lights – they looked closed in the evenings (even when they were open).

There’s a new restaurant planned for this building. From Facebook:

The team from Granary Grill at the Hills Market is back and looking forward to serving you all in our new full time location as Acre. Stay tuned for updates as we begin construction on our new space at N. High St and Arcadia. Coming this fall!

We really enjoyed the food when they were at the Hills Market and look forward to seeing what they do at the new location. Like the name.

    Acre’s aim: affordable farm-to-table food

Looks to be a pretty cool place.
