Two New Five-Story Apartment Buildings at Neighborhood Launch

I like the siding. I’m not sure how I feel about the brown on brick contrast on the side facing Long St but I’ll wait till it’s finished.April 29, 2014 8:08 am at 8:08 am #1012048
I don’t mind the color so much as I do the texture in contrast to the brick. But I agree with HTC; looks good enough, particularly given now nice the rest of the neighborhood has come together.
They should be breaking ground very soon on the next stretch of townhomes. The modern condo mini-tower should be going up thereafter.
I remember reading that after the first 130 apartments were built, the next 130 would go up. Any chance the next stretch of townhomes and the next 130 apartments get built at the same time?April 29, 2014 8:43 am at 8:43 am #1012050
I have unfortunately not heard anything on the next apartment building, but I know that the next townhome buildout should begin in May. There is no timeline on the modern condo tower.April 30, 2014 8:10 pm at 8:10 pm #1012510
Drove by today and saw that they’re calling this “The Normandy.” Have floor plans up now. Interesting stuff:
Also saw some signs up on the Atlas building with floorplans. Can’t wait for people to start moving in to all these places downtown!April 30, 2014 9:26 pm at 9:26 pm #1012536
Nice, lots of details about unit floor plans and a couple new renderings on there.
It will be interesting to see what rents end up being.April 30, 2014 9:28 pm at 9:28 pm #1012538
I checked out Tribeca when it first open and they were pretty pricey. I can imagine these being a bit more since they are downtown.April 30, 2014 11:01 pm at 11:01 pm #1012572
I like those renderings of “The Welsh”. Looks like plans for more sidewalk-facing retail beyond just Brioso. ;)May 1, 2014 9:38 am at 9:38 am #1012637
Even the rendering on the new website are showing a lighter facade treatment. So either they’re painting the brick or they aren’t true renderings?May 8, 2014 6:45 pm at 6:45 pm #1014561
Prices are finally up for the different floor plans. They also posted a new rendering of the front entrance.

That siding is up and all the exterior details are nearly done. I heard from a friend yesterday that the insides are coming along quickly too.May 25, 2014 2:27 pm at 2:27 pm #1019133
According to friends on Facebook, there appears to be a fire right around this building… Nothing reported on the news yet. Anyone hear anything?May 25, 2014 2:45 pm at 2:45 pm #1019134
