Hello! Since my last post about moving to Columbus and wanting to live in either Grandview Heights or OTE, a friend of mine has decided to make the move, too, and we’ll be rooming together.

Our budget for rent is around $600-$700 (total, not each). I’ve found a few places in Olde Towne that meet that criteria (most north of Franklin Park Conservatory). I’m just wondering if it’s going to be realistic to find a good place with that budget – in either OTE, Grandview Heights or Clintonville.

Just out of curiosity I’m interested in the rental rates in Grandview these days also. I might have a some friends looking soon. In 2001 I had a two bedroom on Northwest blvd right by the Kroger for $675. I’m guessing rates have changed since then.

A quick online search came up with these:

This one is in upper arlington:

Also, since you’re interested in OTE, have you considered Merion Village? Lots of affordable places in our neighborhood.

Well it seems rates haven’t changed all that much in 13 years.

Kingsbury Plaza on W King Ave has 2 bed room apartments for $550.

Also look into Heritage Apartments and Colonial Village.
