Columbus Landmarks is sometimes involved with building preservation, but I don’t know if they would apply in this case. It is sad to lose history.

Columbus Landmarks Foundation (CLF) doesn’t actually preserve any landmarks, occasionally they show up with meek, cautious, inoffensive opposition once demolition is already scheduled.

Instead of having an active economic-development-through-historic-preservation role, CLF generates revenue selling ghost tour tickets and organizing ‘historic’ tavern drinking trips. If CLF was ever a voice for Columbus’ historic built environment, those days are long gone.

Developer demolishes historic Upper Arlington house

There is a slide show with the article. It’s funny that none of the pics in this article or any of the other articles show the ugly, run-down addition that was on the back of the house.

Do we have any preservation groups in this city with real clout?
