    16 Parking Garages Worth Looking At

    Next week, Arquitectonica’s Sunset Harbour Garage will have its official ribbon cutting. It’s the second such project in Miami for the firm and only one of a growing collection of high-design parking structures around the city.

    Firms like Herzog & De Mueron, Gehry Partners, and Perkins + Will have all left their marks on the city’s designer garage craze and plans are in place for a Zaha Hadid parking garage as well.

    Since Columbus Commons will now be partialy enclosed with the open end looking towards a drab concrete parking garage, it would nice to see someone step up to spruce it up.

    It would be cool if the first bay back from Rich St was removed and faced with retail with housing above.

    the garage on marconi and spring could definitely use a facelift, or a demolition crew.

    It wouldn’t be too hard to affix some colorful shielding/display on the garage to make it more pleasant to look at. Similar to what some of those garages in the original article look like:
