Young Professionals of Columbus has committed to helping make a local military family’s Christmas a little brighter! The family (Cody and Chloe) are 26 with 2 kids. He was wounded by an IED in 2011 in Afghanistan, and treating his injuries has been expensive. Once he got back stateside he bounced around hotels to afford his treatments at Walter Reed. Soon after, the Fischer House took them in. Now they are back in Columbus trying to get everything back together as a family. Cody is still recovering from his injuries. He is now at Ohio State studying Social Work with hopes to become a Sheriff one day!
The family has recently moved into a home and welcome Home Depot/Lowes gift cards. Always in need of cleaning supplies and laundry detergent (Tide and downy fabric softener).
Cody (Dad) is a 36×30 pant and large shirt.
Chloe (Mom) is a large top. Shoe size 8.
The boys are 6 and 3. They like boy things – legos, sports, action heros. The 6 year old wears a size 6 in clothes and a 3 in shoes. The 3 year old wears a size 4 and a size 10 in shoes.
Buckeye VFW Post #1598 is hosting our final gift collection event on Monday, December 9th 6p-8p and will not only contribute substantial proceeds for the family, but the VFW members will also be the judges for our ugliest Christmas sweater contest!
