If you haven’t heard of Meister’s, don’t be alarmed. It’s one of Grandview’s best-kept secrets, located at 1168 Chambers Road. They’ll be the first ones to tell you they’re not a sports bar, just a bar that really loves the Browns, and they make some of the best deep-dish in the city.

The atmosphere at Meister’s is chill and laid back; there’re pool tables, a jukebox, and old school Tron ping-pong and Area 51 arcade games. But when it comes to football, all bets are off, especially when it comes to Cleveland’s finest athletes. If you’re looking for a place where die-hard, till-the-last-second fans go, Meister’s might just be the joint for you.

And while you’re there, get the deep dish pizza. It comes in one size: 16″, and it takes roughly 40 minutes to cook in Meister’s amazing brick oven. It comes with one topping, but you can add more, and I recommend the house-made sausage, perfect in its spice and bite.

The home-made sauce is so delicious you might want to be sure you have a private moment after the first bite. It tastes like Italian grandma’s sauce, and when ladled atop layers of provolone and mozzarella, it creates one of the best versions of the knife-and-fork pizza I’ve tasted outside Chicago.

Groups would have an especially good time at Meister’s, not only because the layout’s perfect for it, but a completed deep-dish weighs about 7 lbs. You’re gonna need some friends to finish it. Meister’s Pizza opens at 11:30am when the Browns play the early game on Sundays, and one hour before noon Buckeye games.
