Flora Home and Garden Closing in The Short North

After two and a half years and two locations, Flora Home and Garden is closing up shop in the Short North. The urban gardening store originally opened at 988 North High in 2012, and relocated to 930 North High a year later.

“Given the uncertainty regarding the future of our current location, we have decided to pursue other avenues at this time,” said owner David Snow today via email.

The Wood Companies proposed the construction of a new four-story building on the site back in August, which would require the demolition of the two single-story buildings at 930 and 940 North High, the later of which is home to The Co+Op Shop. Co+Op has not yet announced plans to relocate or close at this point in time.

Snow stated that all merchandise is reduced for a closing sale. The final date of operation for the business has not yet been announced, but is most likely planned for the end of January.
