Vida’s Plant Based Butcher celebrates its soft opening today, Friday, October 2.

The doors open at 11 a.m. to the concept that’s part deli, part butcher shop, but 100% vegan. Customers can nosh on a menu of sandwiches, salads and sides that put a plant-based spin on deli classics, or purchase vegan meats and cheeses by the pound to whip up their own creations at home. Vida’s meats and cheese are house-made in their production kitchen in the building’s basement.

Vida’s will be open from 11 a.m. – 5p.m. Friday, Saturday and Sunday.  CEO & Founder Carl Underwood IV says they’ll use the first few weeks to get a feel for demand and tweak their hours accordingly, but they plan to be open Tuesday through Sunday. Underwood notes that Vida’s has applied for a liquor license so longer hours could be on the horizon once it’s approved.

Vida’s is located at 1724 Northwest Blvd., Unit C, in Fifth by Northwest.
