First Look: Pattycake Bakery
Clintonville’s Pattycake Bakery is ready to reintroduce itself to the neighborhood. The vegan bakery will open in its new home, 3870 N. High St., this Thursday, July 29.
The bakery has traded 650 square feet for 2,800 plus square feet, greatly expanding Pattycake’s space for fulfilling wholesale orders, and whipping up whatever future treats may come.
Guests will find Pattycake’s tried and true lineup at opening – cookies, cupcakes, muffins, pre-prepared celebration cakes and more. (And the bakery will continue to do special orders.) Co-Owner Molly Shea says by fall they will add drip coffee options, and further down the road, dream up new ideas for some more savory treats as well as a wider variety of rotating sweet treats.
The bakery will offer some outdoor seating on its High Street patio, but remains a primarily grab-and-go experience. Shea says they might add indoor customer seating, but the new square footage is currently largely dedicated to expanded kitchen, storage and packing for Pattycake’s wholesale operation.
Additionally, Pattycake will continue to require masks for customers.
Pattycake Bakery will be open from 11 am. – 6 p.m. Thursday through Saturday and 11 a.m. – 4 p.m. Sunday, with plans to expand hours soon.
