First Look: Nosh on High
Nosh on High celebrates its grand opening today, Thursday, September 5 at 149 S. High St.
The former home of MoJoe Lounge has been transformed into a 3,000 square-foot full-service restaurant offering lunch and dinner Downtown.
Nosh’s dinner menu is focused on shareable American tapas. It’s reflective of how Co-Owner Kevin Jones likes to eat – there’s no more dish ordering jealousy, but instead an open invitation to have multiple tastes of a variety of different dishes.
Nosh divides its menu into Shareables, with dishes like What Came First, a play on deviled eggs with crispy chicken skins, and Tots with cauliflower, cheese curds and garden gravy; Garden, featuring presentations of seasonal vegetables; Land with an early-favorite Duck dish with duck bacon, duck sausage, egg and pomme frittes; and finally Sea, with dishes from oysters to tuna. Jones says the menu will change seasonally, if not more often.
For lunch Nosh will trade shareables for single-serve meals, with a lineup of soups, salads and sandwiches, as well as a few entrees.
Nosh rounds out its menu with an offering of cocktails, beer and wine. Jones says the drink menu will continue to grow and change based on clientele demand. He adds to stay tuned for a happy hour as well.
Also coming soon is Nosh’s private dining room that will be available for rental. Seeing a need for more spaces for private parties in the Downtown area, Jones wanted a tucked-away, speakeasy vibe for the brick-walled room that can seat approximately 20.
Nosh is open for lunch Monday – Friday, 11 a.m. – 4 p.m., dinner service is 4 – 10 p.m. Monday to Thursday, and 4 – 11 p.m. Friday and Saturday.
