First Look: New Single Family Homes at Grandview Yard
Columbus-based M/I Homes unveiled today the first of what will eventually be 79 new single family homes at Grandview Yard.
Work wrapped up this week on a model home at the northwest corner of First and Bocat avenues, and the first row of homes to the west are in various stages of completion.
The remainder of the houses will be built on land south of First Avenue, connecting up with Wagenbrenner Development’s Homes on Pullman Way.
Although sales to the public don’t officially open until June 15, M/I reached out to their mailing list of people who’ve expressed interest in the project earlier this week. After that short “pre-sale” period, 11 of the homes are now spoken for, at an average price of $635,000.
David Balcerzak, VP of Sales and Marketing for M/I Homes, said that three new house designs were developed for the project, drawing inspiration from work the company has done in other markets, such as Chicago and Washington, DC.
Homes featuring a similar floor plan, although with some changes to the exterior design, are also planned for Founder’s Park, the 20-acre mixed-use development in Harrison Park.
Balcerzak said that interest in the new Grandview Yard homes has come from people currently living in a range of neighborhoods – from Victorian Village, to Clintonville, to Powell.
